Kitchen Aid Grinders - Cut the Grind and Use a polisher

Powder, pulverize, pound, smash, strain, segregate, filter and dispense. Yes modern grinders with thorough attachments can do it all, and more.

No I am not at all alluding to functions an industrial polisher can perform. What I am referring to are today's multidimensional, multi utility kitchen grinders.

Kitchenaid Blender

They come in a wide range of sizes and functional combinations and can be chosen as per the exact nature of the milling job that needs to be performed.

Evolution of the Grinder.

The polisher in its present avatar is an sharp motorized version of its precursors. milling stones of historical times have been replaced with lighter, high density, durable, heat resistant materials.

The motor, the heart of the polisher is an power efficient sharp gismo controlled by precision microchips, capable of tripping a fuse and switching off if overloaded. Thus it can be seen that technology has come a long way in replacing human muscular attempt with other forms of mechanical power.

These requisite enhancements have come about as a consequent of whole study and continuous up gradation, based on user feedback.

The Omnipotent Grinder.

KitchenAid Grinders are everywhere, because, as I mentioned earlier, they can perform discrete jobs; and do them well.

A juicer polisher dispenses a finely crushed, residual free, juice. A coffee polisher pulverizes stubborn coffee seeds into a consistently fine powder.

Cereals can be ground into the desirable grain size. Coconuts can be grated using special attachments and so on and so forth. The functions are endless.

It is seldom that any recipe omits reference to grinding. Practically all food preparations involve some form of milling and therefore introduce the role of the polisher as an requisite member of the culinary team.

Imagine life without grinders. Wouldn't it come to a milling halt?

Oreo Truffles - A delicious and Easy to Make Treat!

Sometimes you want a treat that is just a step above the original cookies. Maybe a friend is having a party and you are supposed to bring something, but you want something a puny special. But who has the time or the know how to make a glutton dessert? No need to slave in the kitchen all day to make something great - just whip up a batch of Oreo Truffles. You will be the hit of the party.

What are Oreo truffles you ask? Just one of the most delicious treats that you can make! If you like Oreo's you will love truffles made from these fun cookies. They are easy to make and I have yet to find anything who doesn't love them.

Kitchenaid Blender

All you need to make this fun treat is:

  • 1 package of Oreo Cookies. Get the quarterly kind, not duplicate stuff.
  • 1 - 8 oz package of softened cream cheese. You can use quarterly or the reduced fat kind
  • Dipping chocolate. You can also melt milk chocolate or white chocolate chips for dipping, but the consistency of dipping chocolate is better.

To make the truffles, crush the Oreo's wholly until there are no chunks. I have found the easiest way to do this is to put a few at a time in the blender and turn it on high. I put the crushed cookies into a bowl and then crush a few more. This recipe may take a puny longer, but the cookies are wholly crushed when I am done.

Now mix the crushed Oreo's with the softened cream cheese. I like to put the whole combination into my KitchenAid and then let it mix for a few minutes. Now, make small balls out of your cookie/cream cheese mixture. I like to use a cookie scoop or a melon ball scoop. This will give you an idea of how big to make the truffles. Set them on a cookie sheet and get ready to dip in the chocolate.

Now it is time to melt your chocolate. You can melt the chocolate using a duplicate boiler on the stove or in the microwave. To melt in the microwave, use a glass bowl, microwave at half power in 30 second increments. Stir and do it again if the chocolate isn't wholly melted. When you take it out of the microwave to stir, this will melt a lot of the un-melted chunks. You don't want to cook it too long or it will become grainy and unfit for dipping.

Dip the truffle balls into the melted chocolate and set on a try lined with waxed paper to dry. Once they have set, drizzle white chocolate over them for a delicious and attractive addition. Store the closed truffles in the refrigerator.

I warrant you the truffles will be the hit of any event! Make sure you print out some recipes and have them close by because population will ask how you made them.

Are All Kitchen Mixers Created Equal? What to Look for When Buying a Mixer

Ignore all those infomercials for fancy (and essentially useless) kitchen gadgets. Instead, you should spend your time and endeavor on selecting the perfect kitchen mixer. A kitchen mixer is one of those appliances that every serious cook needs. A good stand mixer can save you hours of work in the kitchen doing a huge range of kitchen jobs. No cook should be without one.

But not all kitchen mixers are created equal, and having a low-quality stand mixer can be practically as bad as not having one at all. Like other appliances, good potential stand mixers are a great investment, as these machines can last for years-- even decades. If you spend the time and money finding the perfect one, you won't have to worry about buying an additional one for a very long time.

Kitchenaid Blender

There are several things you should look at when shopping for a new kitchen mixer. There is price and quality, of course, but you should also reconsider things like speed & controls, capacity, attachments, and add-on options.

Speed and Controls

In general, stand mixers have everywhere from 3 to 15 speeds. The more speeds your mixer has, the more flexible it will be in its uses and the more operate you will have with mixing.

There are several kinds of controls that come standard on kitchen mixers. Probably the most base is the dial control. This adjusts speed more gradually, allowing you to go from low to high as you choose. You may also find stand mixers with slide controls, pushbuttons (as on a standard blender), and switches. The latest kitchen mixers are controlled with a touchpad, and have a digital display panel. These look great, but are not so separate from standard controls. One new innovation in these types of mixers that you may want to opt for, however, is a timer. This has a countdown on a digital display, and will shut down automatically after a positive pre-programmed time.

Capacity

A basic stand mixer will have the capacity to mix one batch of cookie or bread dough. Many other models, however, are sold with two separate sized bowls, allowing the capacity to be adjusted to many separate recipes. Though standard bowls are ordinarily the size of a medium mixing bowl, kitchen mixer work bowls can have everywhere from a 1.5 to 7 quart capacity.

Attachments & optional Accessories

Like other appliances, one thing you will want to look at when buying a stand mixer is if it will do everything you need. A standard kitchen mixer comes with a set of beaters for batters, dough hooks for mixing bread doughs, and one or two mixing bowls. However, many come with extra attachments and optional accessories to make kitchen work even easier. These consist of paddles, splatter shields, or flat blending rods for mixing drinks.

Many of the best kitchen mixers can be converted into separate kinds of kitchen appliances by buying a straightforward accessory. This kind of stand mixer can be transformed into a meat grinder, a juicer, a food processor, a can opener, or a pasta maker. While these units and their accessories are expensive, they can unquestionably replace practically every kitchen appliance you have.

Stand Mixer Reviews of Kitchenaid, Cuisinart and Viking - Which Brand Is the Best?

If you are looking to buy a stand mixer to complement your kitchen arsenal you need to reconsider durability, warranty and features in order to get the best value for your money.

A durable mixer is one with mostly metal parts and just very few plastic parts. Most of the recipes where you will need a mixer will need the mixer to control for an extended period of time. Plastic parts may deform and even breakdown when the mixer is accumulates heat--and it will procure heat when you use it for a quite a while. Metal parts and housing on the other hand, is very resilient to heat, it will not deform nor breakdown.

Kitchenaid Blender

A flexible kind is one which you can use for a wide range of blending and mixing chores, not just kneading dough. This is where speed settings and adjustable whisks come to consideration. Some mixers may even offer attachments which allows you to use your mixer as a blender, meat processor and pasta maker just to name a few.

In this review, we will take a look at 3 manufactures heavyweights on stand mixer. Kitchenaid, Cuisinart and the Viking brand have been nearby for a quite a while and are quite dominant in the market.

Kitchenaid

Kitchenaid has the widest following among the stand mixers, and for good reason. This stand mixer is found in a lot of kitchens, your grandmother probably had Kitchenaid--it was probably passed on to your mother, which will be passed on to you. This brand of mixer is very durable and has lasted the test of time. Kitchenaid is one of the best, but its claim to the top spot is somewhat contested.

Cuisinart

Not to be outclassed by Kitchenaid, Cuisinart is also one of the heavyweights in the stand mixer arena. It has abundance of models to pick from. If you need serious power, it has a model which packs a qualified 800 watts. Cuisinart's impel is its use of technology. It has a abundance of convenience features which makes your kitchen duties a lot easier and more efficient. For example, it has a countdown timer which auto shuts off when the timer has finished.

Viking

The Viking brand lives up to its name. It's tough, rugged and very durable. Viking did not hide the toughness of their stand mixers inside, they flaunted it. Just looking at the covering of the Viking stand mixer, you can already appreciate that it is built rock solid. It has a 1000 watt motor that beat any tough dough to submission.

Which stand mixer is the best

This is a tough query without an easy answer. If money is not a concern, get a Viking. The Viking is the most qualified of the all three, it is also probably the most durable--not the most flexible though. The Viking brand is for pro chef and the assuredly serious home chef who do not need their mixer to duplicate as a blender or pasta maker. If you need to feed a small nation daily by kneading 6 loaves of bread, the Viking is for you, it is built to withstand cafeteria grade punishment.

If you don't want to spend a fortune on the Viking but still want a sturdy stand mixer, then Kitchen is clearly the winner, it is middle of the road between Cuisinart and the Viking.

A narrate of Countertop Blenders and Immersion Blenders

There are two types of blenders; countertop and immersion which are also called handhelds. There are safe bet differences in the middle of these two types of appliances. Comprehension some of the these basic differences will help you determine which one best suits your needs.

Countertop Blenders

Kitchenaid Blender

Countertop blenders have an galvanic motor in a base or housing upon which a jar or box is attached. The unit's motor powers the blades which are on top of the housing at the lowest of the container. Countertop blenders are more fine than immersion units and are good at mixing and pureeing foods and liquids and chopping and crushing ice for drinks. These are the key attributes that shoppers should look for in a countertop blender.

Countertop blender's containers are made of glass, plastic, or stainless steel, and typically have a capacity of about 4 to 8 cups or 32 to 64 ounces. Glass containers are usually heavier and more carport than plastic ones. This means that the glass containers will be more stable, less shaky and also unyielding to scratches. Plus, the glass allows you to see how the food is blending. Stainless steel containers are enchanting but they obviously prevent you from finding the blender in action.

Anywhere from 3 to 15 speeds are typically ready on countertops. The speed controls can be touchpads, push buttons, dials and switches.

Immersion blenders

Immersion, or handheld, blenders are long, thin blenders that do not have their own box to blend food or liquid in. Instead, immersion blenders are held in your hand and located into the food or drink that you are blending. Immersion blenders have rotating blades at the end of their shaft. Immersion blenders are used to puree, whip or chop foods and liquids in the cut off containers that they are being cooked, simmered or mixed in.

Immersion blenders can be beneficial for mixing smoothies, milkshakes, and other powdered drinks. These blenders do not have the power, or whole of watts, that countertop blenders do, thus, they cannot replace a countertop blender for chopping ice or mixing and pureeing some foods or ingredients. Immersion blenders are best at mixing foods and liquids that do not wish a large whole of heavy ingredients to be blended together.
